A good strategy can be to presell a product before you actually manufacture it. This way you can determine what the true market is for the product, before spending time and money making the item. My friend Ken McArthur has been able to presell his new book so well that the publisher is making this their headline book for the spring. The author has received a nice big advance and ads are being placed for the book. Everything is in place for a large book campaign.

In taking the pre-selling concept just a little too far, Ken has a slight issue: he hasn’t written the book yet!

I have much experience in writing reports and ebooks so I do know that writing an entire full length book is a lot of work. I would feel under pressure to complete the book if I were in Ken’s shoes. When I try something new that I have no experience at doing, I like to find someone to serve as a mentor. A person who has already been successful at what I am trying to do. To help with his writing project, Ken has enlisted on of the best people in the business, Glenn Dieztel and his team from Awaken the Author Within. Together they are sure that Ken will be able to write a best seller book in just twelve short hours.

Twelve hours for writing 100 pages averages out to about eight pages in an hour, or just about thirty words in a minute. Think about the amount of speed needed to type this fast. Ken not only has to have good typing speed, but needs to have some good thought put into what he is writing. I want to see how this system works. Working at this sort of speed, I could write out at least 10 decent length posts for my blog each day!
