Squeeze pages, for those who haven’t heard the term before, are defined as web sites that request visitors to opt in for another action on that page. Visitors to these types of pages are generally asked if they want to be involved in some type of business scheme or plan. Many squeeze pages only present two options to the web surfer — “opt in” or to leave the page.
On other squeeze pages you are allowed to pick which business option you want to continue with. Many people say that these kind of squeeze pages are not considered to be true squeeze pages, however.
Sensible
Why bother putting up a website just to ask people whether they would like to continue with the transaction or not? The underlying principle behind squeeze pages is that marketers who promote their products or services through the Internet know that people will not avail their products and services during their first encounter with them. Squeeze pages are actually intended to be able to gather the email addresses of people who are interested in a certain product or service and to get their consent as well. With these components are at the disposal of the marketer, he can then proceed with providing these people who are interested with sales proposals and other marketing materials.
Components
An effective squeeze page squeezes a lot of valuable information in a single web page while getting the attention of the reader. It usually contains a lot of enticing bullet points about the next steps after one clicks on the ‘proceed’ button. Curiosity will kill the cat and will get people to click on the ‘proceed’ button as well.
Electronic mail use
Squeeze pages that generate the most business use electronic mail to bring viewers to you. These messages usually contain a number of quality tidbits sure to entice the recipient. Such messages are not sent directly, but through third parties. Once received, the client is already primed with a desire for what you are selling.
Emissions
Lots of users know methods of evading registration pages and can continue on without clicking on “continue” as required. This evasion is termed “leakage” by those who manage sites. In order to prevent it, a site owner or webmaster must know how to encode the next page’s address. Or, alternatively, he or she can do in an email message what was discussed on the registration page. This forces people to enter their email addresses in order to find out what would be coming next.
A good squeeze page is well personalized, in other words, a good squeeze page should be designed with the visitor in mind. There is software available in today’s market that will aid marketers in generating a good squeeze page that has a solid, personalized, look. In fact, some squeeze pages will even go far enough as to contain personal information about an individual such as what type of pet they have, or what type of TV they own, etc.
Name squeeze pages are also known as lead capture pages. They are generally popular in multi-level marketing and has been proven by many people to generate down lines and eventually profits. They are particularly effective because they generate a list of interested people who become prospects and clients. Effective squeeze pages provide information that is valuable to those who will be reading it. They are also relatively easy to build because one just need some technique to get people to visit the site.
A lot of people are hesitant to laud the capabilities of name squeeze pages. Do they really help market and generate income for businesses? The basis of these pages makes a lot of sense, however. They have also been proven to be extremely effective by tons of internet marketers.
